Following a big win at Bell MTS Place last night where the Jets put up six goals on the Avalanche, today they are back on the ice preparing for the Florida Panthers tomorrow night.  It will be the ninth home game of this ten game home stand.

Practice Notes:

Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press indicated that everyone but Tobias Enstrom out for today’s skate.

Jack Roslovic

Coach Maurice:  What has he liked about Jack Roslovic’s versatility?  On the Jets power play.  On the Jets penalty kill.  Health updates.  Enstrom maintenance?  Hellebuyck starts tomorrow?  Did he consider Comrie for tomorrow? Will it matter who the backup goalie is?  They haven’t ruled out Steve Mason for the season?  How did he like his line combinations?  How much does he weigh the opposition?  What did he make in Byfuglien’s penalties at the end of the 2nd?

Health Updates:

Coach Maurice provided an update on Steve Mason, Michael Hutchinson, Shawn Matthias and Brandon Tanev during his chat “Both goaltenders and Matthias and Tanev skated today.  Both forwards felt quite a bit strong so that’s good forward motion there and the goaltenders are not far off from seeing pucks in practice.”

Later in the scrum he was asked if he had ruled Mason out to rejoin the team this season to which the Jets bench boss advised “No, I expect him on the ice stopping pucks here in the next week.”
