The Jets followed a day off on Friday with a scheduled practice today as they look to put a bad game 3 loss behind them and turn their focus, as they’ve done all season long, towards game 4 tomorrow afternoon in St. Louis.
The biggest question mark for them was whether Gabriel Vilardi would be in a normal jersey or remain in the yellow, non-contact uniform. The other question was the health of Dylan DeMelo and if his illness had been contained.
Skate news:
Both these questions were answered as we learned via Murat Ates of The Athletic Winnipeg that Gabriel Vilardi was skating in a regular jersey.
He also confirmed that everyone else, including Dylan DeMelo was skating as per the lines and D pairs he posted to Twitter.
Lines & D pairs:
Connor-Scheifele-Iafallo
Niederreiter-Namestnikov-Perfetti
Barron-Lowry-Appleton
Tanev-Gustafsson-JAD, with Vilardi working in
Morrissey-DeMelo
Samberg-Pionk
Stanley-Schenn
Miller, Heinola, Fleury
Coach’s comments:
Asked what’s the next marker for Gabriel Vilardi and head coach Scott Arniel indicated
“Game-time decision now. Got the jersey off. Game-time now. Lots of good things today.”
Said he hasn’t talked to the medical team. “there’s a possibility for him tomorrow.”
