Jets are fresh off a 4-1 win last night in Nashville to open their second round series with the Predators as they take to the ice to practice ahead of game 2 which goes tomorrow night at Bridgestone Arena.

Practice notes:

According to Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press it is an optional skate today with Mathieu Perreault skating for the second day in a row in a non-contact jersey. More from Mike “From last night’s game, only Little, Laine, Ehlers, Connor, Roslovic are skating. The rest are healthy scratches (Poolman, Morrow, Matthias, Dano) and injured (Perreault). Plus Mason and Hutchinson.”

Coach Maurice:  On Scheifele’s growth.  On versatility of Adam Lowry’s line.  Is Brandon Tanev built for playoff hockey?  On handling the aggressiveness of Nashville.  On Laine’s ability to score “big goals”.  Does success/knack for scoring translate from the international game?  On having a high shooting percentage/not needing a lot of shots to score.  Can the Jets win three more games if the Predators possess the puck that much?  How does the Nashville top four challenge the Jets forecheck?  Did he see the Smashplane?
