Winnipeg Jets place Marko Dano on waivers

With Nic Petan rejoining the Jets after his leave of absence the team needed to make a decision with respect to a player being sent down to the Manitoba Moose.  There was some thought it would be Brendan Lemieux as he doesn’t have to clear waivers while both Marko Dano and Nic Petan would have to clear.  Today the news broke (via Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet) that the team has assigned Dano to the Moose.  Obviously he will need to clear waivers before he can be assigned to their farm team.

Update:

Following the game against the Hurricanes, Jets coach Paul Maurice was asked about the team placing Dano on waivers.
