With the only pro hockey being played these days taking place overseas we will provide a regular update on what is happening with Jets prospects or players under contract with Winnipeg who are playing in the KHL, SHL, Liiga, DEL, DEL2 and HockeyAllsvenskan.
Players on loan:
1. David Gustafsson
Tingsryds AIF (HockeyAllsvenskan) 13 GP 4 goals 8 assists, averaging 19:16 of ice time per game.
Change since last week: 2 GP 1 goal 1 assist, average ice time up 12 seconds.
2. Ville Heinola
Lukko Rauma (Liiga): 11 GP 0 goals 5 assists, averaging 18:20 of ice time per game.
Change since last week: Liiga was on their international break. They are back in action on Thursday night.
3. Mikhail Berdin
St. Petersburg SKA (KHL): 6-3-2, 2.39 GAA .919 save%
Change since last week: 1GP 1 win. Had 21 saves in a 4-1 win on the 10th. Was his first game since October 26th.
4. Leon Gawanke
Eisbären Polar Bears (DEL): Germany’s top league hasn’t yet gotten started (expected to start in mid December).
Change since last week: He participated in the Deutschland Cup 2020 last week which was his first game action since March of 2020 with the Moose in the AHL. His German squad lost to Latvia in OT of the final game with Gawanke picking up an assist in the loss.
5. Joona Luoto
IFK Helsinki (Liiga): 13 GP 3 goals 2 assists, averaging 18:42 of ice time per game.
Change since last week: 1 GP no goals, no assists, average ice time down 12 seconds.
6. Arvid Holm
Farjestads BK Karlstad (SHL): 5-4-1, 2.28 GAA .930 save%
Change since last week: 1GP 1 win. Made 29 saves in a 3-2 OT win on Tuesday.
7. Kristian Vesalainen
HPK (Liiga): 3 GP 3 goals 2 assists, averaging 21:43 of ice time per game.
Change since last week: 1 GP 1 goal 1 assist, average ice time down one minute.
8. Skyler McKenzie
EHC Freiburg (DEL2): 2 GP 1 goal 0 assists.
Change since last week: These were his first couple of games as the German 2nd division got underway on November 6th. Like Gawanke these would be the first games that McKenzie has played since early March with Manitoba.
9. Marko Dano
Trencin Dukla (Slovak League): 1 GP 2 goals 1 assist.
Change since last week: The biggest change from last week was that Dano wasn’t a member of the Jets organization when we last put together this report. That changed when Winnipeg signed him to a one-year deal last week. While he hasn’t technically or perhaps officially been loaned to his hometown team he doesn’t really belong on the prospects list below.

SaiPa Lappeenranta (Liiga): 12 GP 1 goal 2 assist, averaging 16:49 of ice time per game.
Change since last week: 2GP no goals 1 assist. average ice time up 15 seconds.
2. Henri Nikkanen
Jukurit Mikkeli (Liiga): 7 GP 1 goal 3 assists, averaging 19:12 of ice time per game.
Change since last week: Liiga was on their international break. His squad is set to play tonight.
3. Simon Lundmark
Linkopings HC (SHL): 5 GP 0 goals 1 assist, averaging 11:55 of ice time per game.
Change since last week: 1 GP no goals no assists, average ice time up 16seconds.
4. Anton Johannesson
HV71 J20: Hasn’t played a game yet this season.
Change since last week: None. Murat Ates of The Athletic Winnipeg reported that the Jets 2020 5th rounder is recovering from surgery on his foot.
5. Daniel Torgersson
Frölunda HC J20 (J20 Nationell): 10 GP 4 goals 5 assists.
Frölunda HC (SHL): 2 GP 0 goals 0 assists, averaging 3:22 of ice time per game.
Change since last week: None. In that same report from Murat wrote this about the the Jets 2nd rounder from 2020 “Initial reports suggested a four to five month recovery but I’m also told it’s possible he misses the full SHL season.”.
