Note: Before Day 5 of Jets training camp gets underway, catch up on all the news, line combinations, injury updates and player/coach media here from the second day at Hockey for All Centre. The team also reduced their roster by one as they released goalie Alex Worthington from his PTO.

Note III: It’s another Jets game day as they will host their first exhibition game of the pre-season which kicks off a home back-to-back which starts with the Avalanche tonight and the Oilers tomorrow night. Morning skate for the game group is at 10 AM CT and then puck drop is at 7 PM CT. The game will be streamed on the Jets website. Reminder that our IC Post-Game Shows do not start until the regular season but it’s never too early to smash that subscribe button.
Note IV: It’s also the first day of Manitoba Moose training camp today, although the bulk of their players remain with Winnipeg. You can expect some AHL-contracted players in camp, along with a number of players from their new ECHL affiliate in Bloomington, as well as some University of Manitoba Bisons and others. I suspect they’ll get an influx on Wednesday when the Jets are off and will have completed both of their home exhibition games.

Sportsnet: Viggo Bjorck should start season with Jets. This is part of Michael’s Sunday overreaction column but quite honestly I don’t think it really falls into that category as this kid is very likely to get his shot with Winnipeg this season.

The Globe and Mail: Every Canadian hockey fan should feel the chill of Connor Hellebuyck’s trade request out of Winnipeg. (Paywall). As we discussed on our show a few days back, I do not believe this situation is gonna resolve itself anytime soon as both sides embrace their position.
