Note: The Jets are done. The Moose are done. We will still try to get you anything relevant to the pro hockey clubs of Manitoba during the next little bit. Of course the big focus is on the 2026 NHL Draft for which the Jets hold the 8th overall selection. We will be spending quite a bit of time learning about the players who could hear their name get called by Winnipeg at the end of June.
Note II: For the second time in four seasons the Moose have a Yanick Dupré Memorial Award winner for AHL Man of the Year as the league announced Tyrel Bauer as the winner. Win or lose, Bauer takes time after games to meet with young fans and his impact goes well beyond the arena. He has become a huge asset to the community in Manitoba and is well deserving of this recognition of his impact off the ice. We caught up with him yesterday afternoon and not surprisingly he gave plenty of good answers about what it means to him to be the recipient and to give back to the people in this province.
