Trade Deadline: The NHL Trade Deadline is just three days away ending on March 6th at 2 PM CST. The expectation is the Jets will be sellers on Friday as they likely chose to dump their UFAs given their chances of making the playoffs are listed at a paltry 6.6%. For what it’s worth their odds to select 1st overall sit at 7.5%. If there is anything major we could do a pop up Illegal Curve broadcast so be sure you’re subscribed to our channel and if it’s mostly minor moves, we’ll have it all covered on illegalcurve.com.
Note: The Jets looked like they were gonna kick off eight straight at home with a regulation loss but then they scored in the final minute to tie the game before Mark Scheifele buried his 200th goal inside CLC for the 3-2 win over the Hawks. While that is important if they want to keep their faint playoff dreams alive the Oilers winning in OT is not what they wanted to see. We’ll have more coverage of the NHL club of Winnipeg in today’s Practice Report so check back for it when they hit the ice downtown at 12 noon.
Note II: The Moose will skate today as they practice for a quick two game homestand as they welcome the Marlies to town this weekend. Check back for the Practice Report. They’ll skate at 10:30 AM CST.
