Note: The Jets were in Chicago on Sunday enjoying a day off while taking in some Cubs baseball, which included Jonathan Toews throwing out the first pitch. Today, they are back on the ice for an optional practice as they get set to face the Hawks on Tuesday night.
Note II: The Moose picked up a win on Saturday night which allowed them to arrest their losing skid. But they have no time to rest as the Admirals (who are chasing them for 4th in the Central) won on Sunday and are now just one point back (although Manitoba had a game in hand). They are scheduled to practice in Toronto before they wrap up four games on the road on Tuesday night.
Note III: Back-to-back games with an OT GWG for Jets prospect Kieron Walton (2024 6th) who wins it for Peterborough for the second straight game. Also on Sunday, there was a battle of Jets prospects in the NCAA (and last two champions) which saw Garrett Brown (2022 4th) and his Denver club defeat Zach Nehring (2023 3rd) and his Western Michigan squad 6-2 in the regional finals.
Jets news:
Winnipeg Sun: Jets trying to avoid a ‘step back’ as the ‘Hawks loom large. Feels like we have been talking “must win” vs “can’t lose” for some time now but when Winnipeg faces Chicago tomorrow night either one of those sayings will be applicable.
Winnipeg Sun: ‘More weight than words,’ for Jets captain Adam Lowry. Gordo caught up one-on-one with the Jets captain to get insight into his season to date.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets won’t go down without a fight. (Paywall). The good news for the Jets is that not one other team seems interested in seizing the opportunity that is in front of them. After the Preds won five straight and appearing ready to do just that, they have now lost three in a row.
