Note: The Jets held an optional practice on Friday as they looked to reset in preparation for a monumental test when they face the Penguins this afternoon . Note III: The Moose were off on Friday after a big 3-1 win over the Admirals on Thursday. They kick off a two game set against the Roadrunners starting today at 2 PM CT.
Note IV: While he’s not a current Jets goalie prospect this move by former goalie prospect Mikhail Berdin during the shootout to proactively get that puck is one that won’t be a surprise to those who followed his adventures with the Moose.

Winnipeg Free Press: Lopsided loss not as damaging as it could have been for the Jets. (Paywall). As we’ve been saying for some time the reality is the teams ahead of the Jets that are battling for the final wild card spot aren’t very good which means none of the five teams in contention are seizing the opportunity.
Global News: Tough loss, now tough decisions lie ahead for Winnipeg Jets. That would be a big departure from the past for this organization.
