Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers: Today’s Hockey Headlines | Mar 11, 2026

A daily roundup of Jets, Moose coverage — all the pro hockey news that matters in Manitoba and beyond.

Note: The Jets did not start the game off on the right skate which cost them despite scoring first in the contest as the Ducks struck back and then struck back again and again. When all was said and done Winnipeg had lost 4-1 which was especially costly as the Kraken also lost in regulation which meant they would have been just three points back of the final wild card spot. They are scheduled to practice today at 12 noon so check back for the Practice Report.

Note II: Yesterday, following morning skate Jets head coach Scott Arniel provides health update on Namestnikov, Niederreiter, Miller & Pionk. Check it out here.

Note III: The Moose kicked off the first of four on the road last night as they took on the defending Calder Cup champion Canucks in Abbotsford. Like the parent club they had a malaise in the opening period (they got outshot 11-3) but then they woke up in the middle frame scoring twice (Fagemo & Ford) followed by two more goals (Chibrikov & Phillips) giving the visitors an impressive 4-o victory, as Thomas Milic earned back-to-back shutouts in consecutive games. The re-match goes tonight. Puck drop at 9 PM CT.
