Note III: The Moose are also in action tonight as they are in Abbotsford to take on the defending Calder Cup champion Canucks. However, unlike last year this Canucks team, much like the parent club, are mired in last place in the Pacific Division. Puck drop is at 9 PM CST.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: One break all it takes: Jets’ Rosen makes good first impression. He is going to get that opportunity here with Winnipeg this season. Expect a long, long leash.

Winnipeg Sun: ‘Do something about it’: Jets’ Connor inspired by deadline sell-off. However you find motivation the key is to find something that can galvanize you.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets pull within five points of final Western Conference playoff spot. (Paywall). Hard to believe the playoff chance % went from single digits (6%) to double digits (16.5%) and while it isn’t overwhelming they are a lot closer than they were last week which doesn’t traditionally happen in the NHL.

Global News: Jets refuse to throw in towel on 2025-26 season. If there is one thing we know about most (not all) hockey players is that they are never going to throw in the towel until it is absolutely certain that they are out of the race.

Jets video:

TSN: Can the Jets continue push and make the playoffs? Is there a path the Jets could sneak into the playoffs? Is Winnipeg a team that could make noise if it makes it to the postseason? TSN Hockey analyst Martin Biron joined That’s Hockey to discuss.
