Note: It’s hard to believe that one of the best weekends on the hockey calendar is over but the NHL Draft is now in the rearview mirror. If you missed anything be sure to check out the post-draft comments of Director of Amateur Scouting Mark Hillier and for a complete recap of everything the Jets did in Buffalo, check out our full draft roundup here.
Note II: After a quiet little Sunday expect a busier day today. It is the final day to send qualifying offers to RFAs (must be received by 4 PM CDT). The Jets really don’t have too many restricted free-agents with just Cole Perfetti at the NHL level and four others needing to be qualified.

Note III: It’s also technically the start of Development Camp although the players are not doing anything on the ice. We have a media availability at 12 pm so be sure you’re subscribing to our YouTube channel as well as check on this site later this afternoon. Here is the schedule for the week and we should have the full roster sometime this morning.
Jets news:
Samoa Observer: First-ever Samoan selected in NHL Draft. The Jets selection in the seventh round was making news over 10,000 kms away from Winnipeg when they picked Alofa Tunoa Ta’amu with the 199th pick.
NHL Draft:
Winnipeg Free Press: Four Manitobans find NHL homes in latest draft. (Paywall). There was a lot of hope from folks in this province that the sixth overall pick would be wearing a Jets uniform after Friday night concluded. Seems like the Flyers always grab a Manitoban when they have the chance.
