Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers: Today’s Hockey Headlines | Jan 12, 2026

A daily roundup of Winnipeg Jets, Manitoba Moose coverage — all the pro hockey news that matters in Manitoba and beyond.

Note: The Jets are going streaking or mini-streaking as they picked up a second straight win on Sunday when they defeated the Devils by a final score of 4-3. It was the first time they had won consecutive games in almost two months. The win did come with a cost as they lost Colin Miller late in the 1st period after he slid hard into the boards. They are off today but will be back in action on Tuesday as they close out the homestand against the Islanders.

Note II: The Moose were also in action yesterday as they played the second game of a back-to-back in Chicago against the Wolves. After winning in a shootout the night before they would once again require a 3rd period comeback to force extra time. This time around they were forced to settle for a single point as the home team took it with a goal that required a very long video review. It’s a travel day today for the Moose as they head back to Rockford for the fourth game of this six-game road trip.
