Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers: Today’s Hockey Headlines | Feb 12, 2026

A daily roundup of Winnipeg Jets, Manitoba Moose coverage — all the pro hockey news that matters in Manitoba and beyond.

Note: The wait is over as Olympic Men’s Hockey with NHL players returns this evening and all four Winnipeg Jets players (Josh Morrissey, Kyle Connor, presumably Connor Hellebuyck and Nino Niederreiter) will be playing their first games of the 2026 Olympics in Italy. Nino and the Swiss kick things off at 5:10 AM CST, then Morrissey and the Canadians are at 9:40 AM CST, while Connor squared get underway at 2:10 PM CST).

Note II: Last night Winnipeg goalie prospect Thomas Milic participated in his first ever AHL Skills Competition. He and his Central Division All-Stars made it to the Final game but they ultimately lost to the Pacific All-Stars by a final score of 3-1. It will be back to reality for them as the team returns to Manitoba and are expected to practice tomorrow as they get ready for a pair of games this weekend against Calgary.

Note III: It was a battle of Jets prospects last night in the OHL. Jacob Cloutier (2025 7th) finished with 1G 2A in the game for Saginaw as they won it over Flint. Kevin He (2024 4th) did get a goal in a losing effort which was his sixth straight game with a goal (nine goals total during that stretch).
