Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers: Today’s Hockey Headlines | Apr 29, 2026

A daily roundup of Jets, Moose coverage — all the pro hockey news that matters in Manitoba and beyond.

Note: It was a busy Tuesday down at hfac as the second round of the Calder Cup Playoffs got underway with a practice for Manitoba’s AHL club. The extras skated early, followed by four Jets players who are still in the city and then most of the Moose hit the ice for practice. Missing from main skate were Walker Duehr (skated on his own earlier), Elias Salomonsson and Kale Clague but as you’d expect during playoffs no info was forthcoming. Plenty happened at skate so check out the Practice Report. The team is off the ice today but back tomorrow morning.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press: Serious off-season decisions for the hometown club to get back to the post-season. (Paywall). You had questions and Mike/Ken had plenty of answers in their latest mailbag.
