Winnipeg Free Press:  Fit for a King.  Gary writes about the possibility that Mike Richards may be coming back to the region if the Kings buy him out.  What do you think?  Do you like the idea of Richards in that 3rd centre role?

TSN Radio 1290:  Rona Roundtable (audio).  Jets assistant coach Charlie Huddy joined host Rick Ralph to talk about what he has been up to of late, watching the Stanley Cup Finals, young defencemen like Trouba and Morrisey being able to make the jump (or potentially make jump) to the NHL level at a young age.  

Calder Cup Final – IceCaps vs. Stars (Series tied 1-1):

Winnipeg Free Press:  Caps’ Hutchinson has got to stay hot.  The Stars have been throwing a ton of rubber at the tenders throughout the playoffs and Hutch will have to remain clutch tonight if St. John’s wants to take a 2 games to 1 series lead.

The Telegram:  Travel makes for tight turnaround as IceCaps, Stars get ready for Game 3 tonight.  Big game tonight because the teams will be taking a break for Game 4 until June 16th due to a scheduling conflict at Mile One Centre.  Interesting to read that the teams shared a charter to St. John’s.

Austin American-Statesman:  Cedar Park and St. John’s hockey wager pits barbecue vs. beer (Subscription required).  Always funny to see two regions wager local fare on a sporting event.
