Jets news:
Winnipeg Free Press: Jets write the book on losing. That was probably the game that best summed up this team this year. Can be absolutely equal parts exhilarating to watch but mixed in with an equal amount of frustration. Plenty of evaluation as the team plays out the season.
Winnipeg Free Press: Finnish Flashback. There are so many memories that surround the great Teemu Selanne. Gary reflects on the man who inspired thousands of Manitobans during his time with the Jets 1.0.
Winnipeg Free Press: Jets fans bid farewell to Teemu. Jets fans can never get enough Finnish Flash and fans in Anaheim showed their appreciation for all that he has meant to this community.
Winnipeg Sun: Jets collapse late versus Ducks. While this is just one game in a season of 82 games you have to think it will be referenced quite a bit as the season winds down and throughout the summer.
Winnipeg Sun: Call-up to Winnipeg Jets is a feather in their IceCaps for Redmond and Chiarot. Nice reward for hard work down on the Rock for both these guys.
CBC: Jets show best and worst in loss to Ducks. It was a very Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde performance by Winnipeg last night.
Globe and Mail: Ducks stage historic comeback to beat Jets in overtime. If there is anything you don’t want to be in sports is on the other end of some sort of ‘highlight’ or ‘historic comeback’. So whether it was watching the Ducks erase a four goal deficit or seeing Kings goalie Quick make a highlight reel save, the Jets have been on the wrong end of these types of moments.
TSN: Draft Lottery tracker. Currently sitting in the 7th spot after last night’s OT loss to the Ducks in which they ‘gained’ a point but lost positioning slipping from 6th.
Ducks 5 Jets 4 in OT:
Coach Maurice post-game scrum (audio). Coach Maurice had plenty to say following the 5-4 OT loss.
Jets on a Deadline. Game recaps, post-game audio, video highlights and the NHL.com 3 Stars of the night.
Coyotes news:
Arizona Republic: Fresh blood among defensemen paying off for Coyotes. The Desert Dogs have used these players quite effectively as they fit the various pieces into the puzzle.
