Jets news:
Winnipeg Free Press: Under construction – Three NHL team blueprints. Ed discusses the Blues and Avalanche models for success and whether the Jets might be on a similar path.
Winnipeg Sun: Tango cashes in. Firstly props for the reference to the 1989 classic starring Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russel in that headline. Secondly, the article discusses Tangradi seizing the opportunity that has been presented.
Winnipeg Sun: With all the injuries, Winnipeg Jets depth a high point. When fans heard no Bogosian and Byfuglien against Colorado there was likely an audible groan but Postma and Tangradi were tossed in and the Jets pulled off a much needed victory. Of course trying to fill the void left by Scheifele at 2C is proving a bit more difficult but the depth is starting to show for this organization.
CBC: Paul Maurice has turned around Jets, sights set on future. Next it becomes a question of signing his name on the dotted line sometime this summer once he has had an opportunity to reevaluate and reflect on the season that was.
With the Avs putting him on waivers the Jets have reclaimed the netminder they signed…
