Jets news:
Winnipeg Free Press: Maurice juggles, Jets struggle. It was fairly evident what the impact of the loss of Mark Scheifele has had on this team. At one point the shots were 7-7 but eventually the Kings took over and ended the night with 41 shots.
Winnipeg Free Press: Hot squad puts on a clinic. That was the Kings sixth straight win and they are clearly a team that is playing as a team. Even a Buff hit that sent Jake Muzzin into the Jets bench wasn’t enough.
Winnipeg Sun: Long way to go yet. The Jets are fighting for a place at the table while the Kings have been sitting there for some time. Paul also covers the Kane/Doughty battle, coach Maurice still learning and what did Cheveldayoff say?
Winnipeg Sun: Hail to the Kings. It was quite a display of the difference between a veteran playoff team and one that isn’t at that level yet. While the Jets help their own early on the Kings talent was just too much for Winnipeg last night.
Winnipeg Sun: Stuart all heart. Lots of love from everyone involved.
CBC: Jets get a reality check in loss to Kings. If not for the play of Ondrej Pavelec the score easily could have been five goals higher.
TSN: Jets fall three points back of Stars in loss to Kings. Dennis assess the loss from his perch high above the ice surface at the MTS Centre.
Kings 3 Jets 1:
Winnipeg Jets: Andrew Ladd, Ondrej Pavelec, Evander Kane and Jacob Trouba.
L.A. Kings: Dustin Brown, Mike Richards and Marian Gaborik.
