Winnipeg Free Press:  Skeptics who questioned taking Trouba now abashed.  With the team back in the city, Ed discusses some Jets related topics including Trouba’s draft, inserting Thorburn into the 2nd line, Enstrom’s drought, heating up Kane, pp needing improvement, Scheifele’s growth, Montoya more than a backup and more.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets can’t be complacent.  No point patting themselves on their back for a good two week road trip.  Looking ahead the Jets face the Blues, Avalanche and Stars over the course of the next week.

Winnipeg Sun:  Montoya solid backup for Jets.  When he stays healthy he has been a solid option for coach Noel.  Ken also looks at goal differential, Enstrom’s drought, polar opposite PP and PK, Kane’s man games lost and Albert watch.

NHL news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  NHL owners committed to violence.  Gary feels quite strongly on the subject of fighting in hockey.  What do you think?

Globe and Mail:  Santorelli lifts Canucks to win over Avalanche.  He was a brief member of the 2012 NHL Jets but Mike Santorelli has certainly made the most of his return to his hometown as he scored twice last night and has eight goals this year.

Minneapolis Star-Tribune:  Harding backstops Wild to 3-1 victory over San Jose.  The story of Josh Harding continues to be the best story in the NHL this season.

Globe and Mail:  New TV rights deal, salary cap on tap for NHL board of governors.  Should be interesting to see what news comes from the meetings over the next couple of days.
