Winnipeg Free Press: Jets won’t be flying the free-agent skies anytime soon. The reality is the big name free agents are either looking for a chance to win now or a big pay day. The Jets are not yet in the former category. Some may look at the Clitsome deal as an overpay but to get the deal done before other teams had an opportunity to chat with him the Jets had to step up.
Winnipeg Free Press: Clitsome signing part of Chevy’s plan to piece together Jets lineup. The most important thing that needs to be done is locking up the big three RFAs on this roster. Here is a link to Richard’s analysis he did a few months back on what the Big 3 RFAs (Little, Bogosian and Wheeler) might garner. Once that is done, the Jets GM can fill out the rest of the roster with available pieces.
