Winnipeg Sun:  Jets captain Ladd faces off with Hamrlik over lockout.  Ladd was not at all impressed with the comments made by Hamrlik or Neuvrith.  He also referenced “decertification” saying “…..I think it would be a good one for us. At some point, you have to start fighting back. We don’t have much leverage and we know they’re just trying to wait us out. We might as well try to do something.”

Winnipeg Sun:  Toby Enstrom signs with Swedish team.  Signed to play with his brother in the Swedish 2nd division.

Illegal Curve:  Lockout audio.  Spoke with Andrew Ladd and Blues Ryan Reaves. Ladd has quite a bit to say about Hamrlik as well as decertification.

The Telegram:  For the IceCaps, what a difference a year makes.  Appears the big names on St. John’s have yet to make an impact and with close to 25% of the regular season complete, it is high time they start.

CBA news:

Montreal Gazette:  NHL proves rich people are different.  It is quite interesting to see which owners show up to the CBA meetings and which do not.

ESPN:  NHL behaving like ‘bullies’.  Whitney has been through 4 of these work stoppages and voices his opinion as to what he sees as problems with the current situation.

Globe and Mail:  Bettman and Fehr should put their jobs on the line.   Not really sure why either would ever willingly  put their careers on the line in such a way.

CBC:  Why NHLPA decertification is a bad idea.  You can hear all you want about decertification today on the show as Michael McCann will give you all his insight into the process but this article will be a good precursor to listening.

NHL news:

Montreal Gazette:  Some wild and wacky NHL contracts.  Those Islanders sure have some odd contracts that they have signed over the years.  This book sounds like it would be a good/entertaining read.

Grey Cup news:
