Note: The Jets were off on Sunday although there was some news as Logan Stanley was set to have a hearing with NHL Player Safety and a few hours later we learned that they had suspended him for one game. It means he will miss the game tomorrow night against the Golden Knights. The Jets will practice in Winnipeg today at 11 AM CST as they prepare for that game so check back for the Practice Report.
Note II: Before the team hits the ice we are set to hear from GM Kevin Cheveldayoff who will hold his midseason media availability at 10:30 AM CST. It will be available on here and on our YouTube channel.
Note III: The Moose have a few days of practice before they head out on the road for six games. They will hit the ice at 10:30 AM CST for skate.
Note IV: Jets prospect Kieron Walton with a bit of a fluky goal and a nice assist for Sudbury yesterday which tied him for top spot in the OHL points race with 52 (24G 28A).
Jets news:
Winnipeg Sun: Jets searching for answers as nine-game skid deepens and tough stretch looms. I know last year was last year but crazy to think that when Cheveldayoff spoke around this time his club was in 1st and today they are in 32nd. What a difference a year makes. Gordon wrote about the current state of this hockey team.
Winnipeg Free Press: ‘Never taking anything like that for granted’: Connor pumped for Olympics. Wieber caught up with 81 in Ottawa to discuss his making the U.S. Olympic team.
Sportsnet: Mark Scheifele should be next man up for Canada. Michael makes a strong case for why the Jets top centre should be the first player added if there becomes a need to do so.

Sportsnet: Jets are looking to see what they can do to add scoring. Not exactly breaking news that a team which cannot score is looking for more scoring. But it’s Jets related so there you go.
