Note V: Plenty of prospects were showing up on the scoresheet on Friday. We start in the OHL where Kieron Walton (2024 6th) picked up two goals (including the game winner) as he sticks in top 3 of league points. Best friend Kevin He (2024 4th) had a goal (also the game-winner) and an assist in his second game with his new Flint team. Across the country in the WHL it was Manitoban Owen Martin (2025 3rd) had two assists in a Spokane win as he’s starting to produce more of late. Last up Zach Nehring (2023 3rd) scored for Western Michigan.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: Jets are first in the NHL at one specific stat. That is not a stat any NHL team would want to be leading. And it would be one thing if they could have at least secured a point in most of those games.

Winnipeg Free Press: Time running out for Chevy to salvage Jets’ season. (Paywall). Kenny is calling for change as the team which began the season with Stanley Cup aspirations is stuck at the bottom of the league and doesn’t look it will be able to do much to change their circumstances.

Global News: Last-place Winnipeg Jets need some help. They do have an AHL club where about half a dozen guys would bend over backwards at a shot to inject some life into the parent club.
