Note: The Jets lost their seventh straight (0-4-3) game last night in Detroit as the Wings took it 2-1. No rest for the wicked as Winnipeg is in Toronto for the second game of a back-to-back. They won’t hold a morning skate but stay tuned for the pre-game report to ensure you’re up-to-date on the latest news. Puck drop is at 6 PM CST.

Note II: This evening, after the final buzzer sounds between Winnipeg and Toronto, we want you to be part of the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show as we discuss and analyze the results of the game starting around 8:40 PM CST.

Note III: The Moose didn’t fare any better as they dropped the final game of 2025 by a final score of 5-2 to the defending Calder Cup champion Canucks. That’s the fourth straight year they’ve lost on the final day of the calendar year. They are scheduled to practice today as they get set to conclude the final game of this six-game homestand on Friday.

Note IV: It was the first game for Jets prospect Kevin He (2024 4th) who picked up his first point for his new Firebirds team as he got the primary assist on the insurance goal for Flint. Over in the WHL, Owen Martin (2025 3rd) went far side for his 12th goal of the season for Spokane.

Note V: Not to be lost since it was a gameday but two notable events yesterday as it pertains to the 2026 Olympics. Josh Morrissey will be an Olympian for the first time as he will be playing for Team Canada in Italy next month. At the other end, Mark Scheifele was left off the team. The American team is expected to make their announcement on Friday.

Winnipeg Sun: Jets lose 7th consecutive game, a 2-1 loss to the Red Wings. Another solid game but not scoring enough to win these games is killing this Jets team.
