Note: The Jets practiced on Friday as they got set to face the first place in the NHL Penguins. There is no morning skate for Winnipeg as it is an afternoon game but you can still stay tuned for the pre-game report to ensure you’re up-to-date on the latest. Puck drop is at 2 PM CDT.

Note II: Late in the afternoon, after the final buzzer sounds between Winnipeg and Pittsburgh, we want you to be part of the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show as we discuss and analyze the results of the game starting around 4:40 PM CDT.

Note III: The Moose are back on the ice today for practice after returning from the road trip having won their last two games in Tucson. They’ve been off the last two days (one as a travel day and the other as an off day) so it should be a longer skate this morning, especially since tomorrow is an afternoon game.

Note IV: Pair of Jets prospects found the back of the net last night. In the OHL it was Kevin He (2024 4th) who had the game-winning goal for Niagara while over in the NCAA it was a blast by Sascha Boumedienne (2025 1st) which lit the lamp for Boston University.

Note V: Join us for two hours of hockey talk on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show as we cover all the latest on the Jets, Moose, and prospects. Winnipeg has one final home game as they prepare to face a Pittsburgh team that’s surprisingly sitting atop the NHL standings. We’ll get you ready for the afternoon matchup, discuss the imminent return of captain Adam Lowry, provide the latest on Gustav Nyquist—who left the win against the Hawks—and much more.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets looking for a November to remember. (Paywall). The top line is firing on all cylinders, they are getting contributions from their depth and now their defenceman are starting to score. Pair that with excellent goaltending and the imminent return of their captain as well as the near return of key pieces like Perfetti and Samberg and it’s a receipe for success.

Winnipeg Free Press: Team culture building best recipe for consistent results. (Paywall). Lots of Jets as well as around the league tidbits in this column from Mike and Ken.

Jets video:

Sportsnet: How have Jets overcome injuries to be an early-season success story? Jason Bukala joins the FAN Hockey Show to take a look at the Winnipeg Jets, and how they’ve managed to get a strong start to the season despite dealing with injuries in their lineup.
