Note: The Jets are really looking to match last year’s hot start (15-1-0) as they improved to 5-1-0 with last night’s 2-1 win over the Flames in Calgary. Big news was Jonathan Toews scoring his first NHL goal in over two years and also Mark Scheifele showing just how automatic he and Kyle Connor are with the game-winning goal. They are off today.
Note II: The Moose hit the ice on Monday in Winnipeg as they have an unusual schedule during this six straight games on the road which saw them return to Manitoba after playing two games, practicing here and then heading back out on the road where they will play four games in six days. They are scheduled to practice again today.
Note III: Good sign for Cole Perfetti as he joined the IR skate on Monday along with Adam Lowry & Dylan Samberg.
