Note: The Jets played an early afternoon game on Saturday which saw them strike first before having to come back to tie it, and then score late off a beautiful Mark Scheifele tip for his 60th game-winning goal of his career. It gave them their first win of the season which you can read about in the game recap here.
Note II: While they did get the victory it did come at a cost as defenceman Haydn Fleury left the game after two periods and did not return for the 3rd period. After the game head coach Scott Arniel indicated he was hit in the kneecap and it was sore. He said they’d see how he was today. The Jets have practice scheduled for 10 AM at hockey for all centre before they head to New York to kick off a two-game road trip. Stay tuned for a Practice Report.
Note III: The Moose skated on Saturday as they prepared for today’s re-match with the Rocket. They are looking for the two-game series sweep in the afternoon matinee against former head coach Pascal Vincent and his excellent Laval club. Puck drop is at 2 PM CDT.
