Note: The Jets had gotten two of their RFAs (Morgan Barron & Tyrel Bauer) done earlier in the week and it looked like that might be it. But at 3 PM on Friday they announced they got two more done including Parker Ford (two years) and Gabriel Vilardi (six years). Only Dylan Samberg remains and according to Murat his arbitration hearing is set for July 30th.
Note II: Reminder that we are officially on summer hiatus for the Illegal Curve Hockey Show which means no show today. We will be back on the first week of September.
Note III: The Winnipeg Monarchs of the MJHL are looking for volunteers for a variety of positions including Billet Families to host players in their homes for the season. All players are able to drive themselves or carpool. They have a pretty full schedule between games, practices, workouts, volunteering, and possibly school, or work. So they mainly need a bedroom, and most meals that aren’t provided by the team, a monthly stipend of $450/player billeted goes towards helping those costs. It’s a chance to connect with the community, and support the development of talented young athletes as they pursue their hockey dreams! And also, FREE SEASON TICKETS!
