Note: It was a busy Monday as it was the first day of Jets Development Camp with the team doing off ice testing and media avails with their prospects. Today is the first day on the ice with goalies starting at 9:30 AM while defencemen and forwards are on it at 10 AM. We will have more media chats today so stay tuned here and to our YouTube channel.
Note II: In addition to the above, today is the opening of Free Agency in the NHL which gets underway at 11 AM CDT. There wasn’t an 11th hour deal by the Jets to sign Nikolaj Ehlers which means the Dynamic Dane could be wearing a new jersey when the 2025-26 season begins. If he doesn’t re-sign in Winnipeg the conventional wisdom is that the Jets “Plan A” is to target Brock Boeser. We will have all the action covered from start to finish including any media availability with Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff at the conclusion of the day.
Note III: The last bit of business on Monday was it was the deadline to provide qualifying offers to restricted free agents. Winnipeg qualified all but two of their RFAs.
