Note: With some time finally to re-visit last week’s end of Jets season media availabilities I spent some time yesterday watching them again and will do so again today. Biggest takeaways from the ones I watched yesterday included Luke Schenn discussing the organization exceeding expectations, Brandon Tanev with insight into his second tour in Winnipeg, Josh Morrissey on team needing to take another step to get to the Cup and Haydn Fleury talking about how much it means to him to play in a city where hockey matters and somewhere where you can have an impact on the community.
Note II: Last night in the Memorial Cup a rare loss for Jets prospect Jacob Julien (2023 5th) and his London squad as the top team in the OHL fell to the top team in the WHL in Medicine Hat. With the loss the Knights are now 2-1 in the tournament and will have a semi-final match on Friday against either Rimouski or Moncton.
Note III: It’s Mailbag season apparently and if you’ve got Jets related questions feel free to send them to Murat Ates at The Athletic Winnipeg (link here) or Ken Wiebe/Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press (link here).
Jets news:
Sportsnet: One big off-season question facing each team eliminated in Round 2. No shocker his question surrounds the status of Nikolaj Ehlers.

The Five Hohl: The case for and against the Winnipeg Jets extending Nikolaj Ehlers. A very good read from Garret who lays out the case both for and against the signing of the dynamic winger.
