TSN:  IceCaps a hot ticket as AHL soothes NHL blues on the Rock. What NHL lockout say fans in Newfoundland!  With a full building and an exciting team to watch, fans in St. John’s are enjoying their 2nd season of AHL hockey.

The Telegram:  IceCaps ground Admirals.  Technically the first loss for Norfolk since last season’s run of 32 wins in a row, although this is technically a different team with a new parent club (Anaheim not Tampa Bay) now.

The Coloradoan:  Eagles lose to Las Vegas after holding a third period lead.  Holding that 3rd period lead is proving quite difficult for the Jets ECHL affiliate.

CBA news:

Chicago Daily Herald:  NHL dispute puts sales for small businesses on ice.  All across North America business that rely on the NHL are struggling with the loss of tens of thousands of dollars in revenue as a result of no fans heading down to NHL arenas.

Columbus Dispatch:  Davidson’s strengths fit Blue Jackets’ needs.  We had both Aaron Portzline (who wrote this article) and new Jackets President John Davidson on the Illegal Curve Hockey show yesterday and you can catch both excellent interviews later tonight.  Well worth the listen.

After yesterday’s loss to the Ticats, the Bombers slim playoff chances became completely nonexistent.  Hopefully with 1 week left at Canad Inns Stadium, fans can have a chance for a final goodbye….again.
