Note: In a winner take all Game 7 on Sunday night the Jets got out to just about the worst start imaginable. But despite falling behind 2-0 and 3-1 this team never quit. Instead they got within striking distance courtesy of Vlad Namestnikov‘s goal with 1:55 left in the 3rd and then somewhat improbably Cole Perfetti’s second of the game tied things up with less than two seconds on the clock to send the game to OT. Winnipeg was the better of the two teams in extra time but somewhat appropriately Neal Pionk, who played a whopping 46+ minutes, banked in a double OT game-winning goal of two St. Louis players and then the leg of captain Adam Lowry to send the home team on to the second round where they will take on the Stars. That series starts on Wednesday and the team is off today.
