Note: The Jets took Friday off following a poor performance from the team in game 3. It also could have been that the team is dealing with illness as defenceman Dylan DeMelo didn’t play in game 3 due to that reason. Today, they are scheduled to be back on the ice for a practice as they prepare for tomorrow’s game 4 which is a 12 noon puck drop. Check back for the Practice Report.
Note II: A trio of prospects were in action on Friday night. In the OHL there was Jacob Julien (2023 5th) and his juggernaut London squad who won their ninth straight (they have yet to lose in playoffs) to open the Western Conference Final with a victory (he had an assist) while Colby Barlow (2023 1st) saw his four game points streak snapped but his Oshawa club won game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final. Another prospect in the Eastern Conference Final in the WHL is Brayden Yager who had a Yager-bomb but his Lethbridge team fell in game 1 to Medicine Hat.
Note III: It’s gonna be a busy morning as we reflect on the three Jets/Blues games to date, preview game 4 and talk about all things to do with the NHL club of Winnipeg on today’s Illegal Curve Hockey Show. Join us for two hours of hockey talk on our YouTube channel.

Winnipeg Sun: ‘We were terrible in the first’: Fixing bad starts Job 1 for Jets. They have not been great to start games and that’s been a problem in two of the three games in this series.
Winnipeg Free Press: Jets know what adjustments to make after Game 3 loss. (Paywall). The attention to detail that we’ve seen so often from this Jets team wasn’t there in the last game but you can expect it to be there tomorrow afternoon.
Winnipeg Free Press: Road to cup rarely straightforward. (Paywall). The Panthers lost to the Oilers 8-1 in last year’s Stanley Cup Final so even a blowout on the biggest stage doesn’t mean your goals will be derailed.

TSN: What’s the key to a Jets bounceback after big loss? What does a coach say to his players and his goaltender after a big loss like the Jets suffered in Game 3? How should Winnipeg adjust to make sure the same thing doesn’t happen in Game 4? TSN Hockey analyst Bruce Boudreau joined That’s Hockey with his thoughts.
