Note: The Jets played a complete game against the Golden Knights last Thursday, followed that up with a less than pleasing effort in a loss to Utah, which they offset by stopping the Blues in their tracks after they had won 12 straight. But the big question was how would they do in Dallas against a Stars team desperate to win in order to get closer to them in the standings. A Stars win would have meant a two point separation with each team having three games left. But that was not to be as the Jets opened the scoring, added to it in the 2nd and then absolutely dominated in the 3rd en route to a 4-0 win which gives them a six point edge for top spot in the Central. They need just one point (or if the Stars lose a point) in the remaining games and they’ll clinch top spot in the Central as well as in the entire Western Conference. How many people would have predicted Winnipeg would have a chance to be the best team in the NHL at the start of the season? They are taking today off.
Note II: The Moose will wrap up their final two games starting tonight when they welcome the Wild to Winnipeg for the final two games. Puck drop is at 7 PM CDT.
Note III: The Frozen Four got underway in St. Louis yesterday with the semifinals taking place featuring a pair of Jets prospects facing off. Zach Nehring (2023 3rd) and his Western Michigan squad (despite this miss) were looking like they were gonna cruise to a big win over Garrett Brown (2022 4th) and his Denver University club holding a 2-0 lead and a 32-8 shot edge after 40 minutes. But Denver are the defending champs and they forced OT with two 3rd period goals although Nehring’s club would ultimately prevail in OT sending the Minot product to the championship game on Sunday. In the OHL Colby Barlow picked up an assist but Oshawa lost game one while Jacob Julien was held off the scoresheet but his London team took game one. In the WHL Brayden Yager (2023 1st) and Lethbridge rolled to a game 1 win over Calgary.

Global News: League-leading Jets somehow still on outside of Cup conversation. Not to sound like a broken record but I suspect that’s the best place for this team to be. Right in the disregarded category.
