Note: Most of the Jets hit the ice on Thursday for practice with four guys missing including Kyle Connor who we were told by head coach Scott Arniel had become a father on Wednesday night. Morning skate for Winnipeg gets underway at 10:30 AM CDT so stay tuned for the pre-game report to ensure you’re up-to-date on the latest. Puck drop is at 7 PM CDT.
Note II: This evening, after the final buzzer sounds between Winnipeg and New Jersey, we want you to be part of the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show as we discuss and analyze the results of the game starting around 9:40 PM CDT.
Note III: The Moose are also in action tonight as the season slowly concludes for the AHL club of Manitoba. They are in Rockford to take on the Icehogs who they trail by 13 points with just ten games remaining. In theory if they can win both cleanly this weekend it would put them just nine back with eight to go but the last time they swept a two-game set was in mid January. Puck drop is at 7 PM CDT.
Note IV: The prospects are in playoffs right now. Over in the NCAA they got round 1 of the D1 Men’s Ice Hockey Championship underway on Thursday and Jets 2023 3rd rounder Zach Nehring had a great net drive to set up the double OT GWG to advance his Western Michigan squad. The OHL playoffs also started yesterday and in game 1 between Niagara and Barrie, Jets 2024 4th rounder Kevin He scored a goal and added an assist although his IceDogs dropped the contest 4-2.
