Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Keeping you up-to-date with all the latest pro hockey news in Manitoba.

Note: The Jets opened up their four-game homestand against the Sabres on Sunday which saw them lose 5-3 which means they were unable to punch their own ticket to the playoffs and with the Blues defeating the Predators later that day it meant they didn’t get in with a St. Louis loss. Today they will hit the ice for a practice as they prepare for the biggest game of this homestand tomorrow night when they welcome the top team in the NHL (Washington Capitals) to town to conclude their season series. Check back for the Practice Report.

Note II: The Moose were off on Sunday after losing in OT on Saturday night. Today they take off for Milwaukee where they will face the Admirals on Tuesday to kick off three games on the road.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: James Reimer steals the show: Jets lose 5-3 to the Buffalo Sabres. If you look at the expected goals there were heavily in the Jets favour but the Sabres goalie wasn’t worried about who should have won on paper.
