Note: The Jets were off yesterday and will spend the final day ahead of Trade Deadline Day getting ready to face the Flyers in Philadelphia. Biggest question mark would appear to be the health of Rasmus Kupari who left the game against the Islanders in the 3rd period after this collision. Worth noting nobody was missing from last night’s Moose game. Defenceman Dylan Samberg, who missed the last game due to a family matter, is expected to be back in action tonight. Morning skate gets underway at 10:00 AM CST so stay tuned for the pre-game report to ensure you’re up-to-date on the latest. Puck drop is at 6 PM CST.
Note II: This evening you are welcome to join us at Boston Pizza on Taylor Avenue for an IC Watch Party. Of course after the final buzzer sounds between Winnipeg and Philadelphia, we want you to be part of the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show as we discuss and analyze the results of the game starting around 8:40 PM CST.
Note III: The Moose wrapped up their two-game set with the Griffins last night in Winnipeg in a game that was a little bit controversial given the goals that were allowed to stand and those that weren’t. In the end Manitoba fought back to force extra time but ultimately ended up losing 3-2 in a shootout. We did see a Jets prospect score his first ever AHL goal, another tied the game late after drawing a double minor and another score on a silky smooth deke in the shootout. The team is off today.
Note IV: Speaking of the Moose I did get the latest updates on Wednesday with respect to Parker Ford, Chaz Lucius and Dylan Coghlan which you can read here.
Note V: Lots of Jets prospects in action last night in the OHL. Colby Barlow had 2A for Oshawa (see here), Kieron Walton had 1G 1A for Sudbury (see here), Kevin He had 1G for Niagara (see here) while Jacob Julien had 2A for London (see here). Over in the WHL the only prospect in action was Brayden Yager who had 1G 1A for Lethbridge (see here). Update: Jacob Julien signed his ELC.
