Note: The Jets used Thursday as a travel day as they returned to Winnipeg after a big win in Colorado over division rival Avs. They did return Moose captain Dominic Toninato to the AHL which left them with 12 forwards so we might see a recall today or with the Moose in town they could wait. Morning skate gets underway at 10:30 AM CST so stay tuned for the pre-game report to ensure you’re up-to-date on the latest. Puck drop is at 7 PM CST.

Note II: This evening, after the final buzzer sounds between Winnipeg and Utah, we want you to be part of the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show as we discuss and analyze the results of the game starting around 9:40 PM CST.

Note III: The Moose suffered a brutal loss to the Griffins as they played an excellent 40 minutes followed by a tough 3rd which saw them give up four goals and fall 5-4 for their third straight loss at home. They are scheduled to practice today for the re-match tomorrow afternoon.

Note IV: On TSN’s Insider Trading the topic of the Jets and Winnipegger Jonathan Toews came up with Pierre LeBrun confirming that there is mutual interest but adding he expects the comeback for the three-time Stanley Cup champ is more likely to happen next season.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press: Arniel pushes the right buttons. Even good teams can have a night off but it’s how you rebound that counts and the bench boss in Winnipeg got his troops ready to not allow another lapse the following game.

Winnipeg Sun: Arniel’s Jets need to save up, ’cause playoff time’s expensive. Paul wrote about the fine line a coach must walk.

Winnipeg Sun: Winnipeg in his heart: a tribute to Jets’ legend Tom McVie. Paul with a fitting tribute for the former bench boss in Winnipeg.

Sportsnet: How Adam Lowry may have altered Jets’ trade-deadline plans. While there is no question that Adam Lowry is very effective at what he does I personally do not think he changes the calculus for the Jets. They need a 2C that can produce offensively.

Jets video:

TSN: Martin Biron on the Winnipeg Jets responding to the Utah loss with big win in Colorado. TSN Hockey analyst Martin Biron joined SC with Jay Onrait to discuss how he liked Winnipeg’s response against Colorado, how was Adam Lowry’s absence felt against the Avalanche and whether Connor Hellebuyck has figured out the key to beating Colorado?
