The Moose have been disastrous at home going 3-12-0-1 including being swept in both games last weekend with the Marlies by a combined 8-0 score. They also got disaterous news on the health front as Jets prospect and Moose leading scorer Nikita Chibrikov (2021 2nd) was ruled done for the season.

Notable:
Heck of a 1st period by the Moose who outshot the Griffins 18-5. They tied the game on this deflection by C.J. Suess. He’s got seven goals on the season.
Ben King’s backside gets mentioned three times but it’s all of him that gets credit for the second goal of the game for the Moose to make it 2-1 early in the 2nd period. That was his sixth of season.
Parker Ford added to the Moose lead making it a 3-1 game for Manitoba. That’s his team leading ninth goal of the season. Nice assist by Jets pick Brad Lambert and first point in Antlers for Isaak Phillips.
It was another very good period of hockey by the Moose as they scored twice and outshot the Griffins 15-9 in the middle frame. They took a 3-1 lead into the 2nd intermission and a 33-14 shot edge.
And just like that an excellent 40 minutes of Moose hockey get erased in the opening 5:25 of the 3rd period as the Griffins scored three to take a 4-3 lead.
Grand Rapids showing no mercy as they get their fourth goal of the 3rd period to take a 5-3 lead over Manitoba.
Parker Ford is the first Moose player to double digits in goals as he gets his second of the game and 10th of the season to pull Manitoba within one late in the 3rd but it was too little too late.
