Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Keeping you up-to-date with all the latest pro hockey news in Manitoba.

Note: The Jets were on the ice in San Jose for a practice on Monday where we learned that Nikolaj Ehlers and David Gustafsson remain day-to-day. No expected changes based on the reported lines and D pairs on the ice at SAP Center on Monday but we will hear from head coach Scott Arniel at 12:30 PM CST before his team hits the ice at 1 PM CST for an optional skate. Check back for the pre-game report for any and all updates. Puck drop is at 9:30 PM CST.

Note II: This evening, after the final buzzer sounds between Winnipeg and San Jose, we want you to be part of the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show as we discuss and analyze the results of the game starting around 12:10 AM CST.

Note III: The Moose were originally scheduled to be off today but after losing all four road games and winless in eight straight (0-7-1) the coaching staff will have them on the ice this morning at hockey for all centre. Practice starts at 10:30 AM CST. Check back for the Practice Report.

Note IV: Time for another Domenic DiVincentiis update as the Jets goalie prospect (2022 7th) improved to 8-0-0 with a .919 save % & 2.07 GAA with Norfolk. That’s two more wins since last update including a 32 save on 33 shot performance as the Admirals have now won 10 straight.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: A lot of strange things’: Jets in foreign territory in San Jose. Paul sets the table on what’s doing with the Jets as they look to do what they did in the first 16 games of the season (15-1-0) instead of what they’ve done in the last 16 games (7-8-1).

Illegal Curve: Nikita Chibrikov making a strong case to remain with the Winnipeg Jets, however… Connor shows you why the 2021 2nd rounder could stay once the team gets healthy again but also points out why he is likely heading back to AHL when the guys come off IR.
