Site Update: It appears we are fully running again and with upgrades in terms of server capacity and speed to better assist you get the latest Jets and Moose news. We have lost some information from the last few days but it’s fairly minimal. Thanks for bearing with us.
Note: The Jets got the first goal in the game last night in Vegas which for them has resulted in a win ten times this season. But the 11th time was not the charm as the Golden Knights took it on a night the team just wasn’t crisp defensively resulting in a 4-3 regulation loss which was all the more painful as they also lost Nikolaj Ehlers in the 2nd period which post-game Scott Arniel described as “not good obviously” although he wasn’t prepared to label him as anything more than day-to-day. The team is set to practice today in Dallas so stay tuned for the Practice Report.
Note II: The Moose got absolutely demolished on Friday night. I cannot say I watched much of the game but from what I did see it wasn’t pretty. They didn’t get a shot in the 2nd period (outshot 12-0) and then were outshot 10-1 to start the 3rd. Hard to win games when you don’t get any shots. More importantly they were outscored 6-1 in the game. They’ll practice today as they get ready for the re-match Sunday afternoon.
Note III: About the only positive from Jetsland on Friday was play of 2024 6th rounder Kieron Walton who had 2G 2A for Sudbury. He was named 1st Star of the Game. In 25 games he’s got 16G 23A for 39 points. He sits 7th in OHL points race. His pts/g now at 1.56 (up from 0.66 last year).
Note IV: Join us for two hours of Jets talk on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show which gets underway at 9 AM CST as we look back at the week that was in Jetsland, recap the Winnipeg/Vegas game played last night at T-Mobile Arena in Nevada, preview Jets/Stars to conclude this arduous road trip and delve into all things about the NHL club in Winnipeg.
