Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Keeping you up-to-date with all the latest pro hockey news in Manitoba.

Site Update: It appears we are fully running again and with upgrades in terms of server capacity and speed to better assist you get your Jets and Moose news. We’ve lost some information from the last few days but it’s fairly minimal.

Note: The Jets are looking to get back on track tonight in Vegas (not exactly the place to do that) when they take on the Golden Knights. They are the top team in the NHL as of U.S. Thanksgiving which is quite the milestone. No morning skate given the somewhat unusual start time in Vegas (5:30 PM PST). Check out the pre-game report which will feature all the latest news. Puck drop is at 7:30 PM CST.

Note II: This evening, after the final buzzer sounds between Winnipeg and Vegas, we want you to be part of the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show as we discuss and analyze the results of the game starting around 10:10 PM CST.

Note III: The Moose are also in action as they take on their first opponent not from the Central Division when they welcome the Calgary Wranglers to town for a pair of games starting tonight at 7 PM CST.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press: Scheifele situation shrouded in mystery. (Paywall). As Ezzy cleverly reminder me when I called him a centre the other night on the IC Post-Game Show he’s a winger now that he doesn’t take faceoffs. It is indeed a very odd situation.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets rest, recover and regroup ahead of Sin City showdown. (Paywall). Team needs a big response as this slog of a road trip continues after only putting up 14 shots on the Kings.

Winnipeg Sun: Jets continue road trip in Las Vegas, hope to learn from loss to Kings. We will see if this team can take a punch in the nose and not get knocked down by it. They’ve shown consistently that they can. Tonight will be another test against a good hockey team.

Winnipeg Sun: ‘We are the hunted team’: Jets cooling off after sizzling start. If you want playoff success then getting other teams best games is probably gonna help develop the calluses that head coach Scott Arniel is always talking about.

The Athletic Winnipeg: Which Winnipeg Jets will make their respective teams? (Paywall). Murat offers up his thoughts on the likely participants.
