Note: The Jets hit the ice for a skate on Monday where things looked the same as always. Logan Stanley remained off the ice and head coach Scott Arniel indicated he would remain off it for four or five days but he would be making the road trip with the team. Morning skate gets underway at 10:30 AM. Be sure to check back for the pre-game report for any updates. Puck drop is at 7 PM CST.

Note IV: The Moose were off yesterday but got a boost as the Jets announced they had assigned Ville Heinola on a conditioning loan. That will be a nice boost for the club as they get set to kick off six straight at home starting on Thursday morning with their first school day game of the season. Today they are scheduled to practice at hockey for all centre at 10:30 AM CST.

Winnipeg Free Press: First-place Jets up for winning return to home ice. (Paywall). The team seemed to be in good spirits despite the two losses and that is a testament to the fact that when they were winning seven or eight games straight they never let themselves get too high. You can expect much better execution of their gameplan this evening.
Global News: Jets need to handle recent turbulence to get back to winning ways. This group didn’t seem rattled at all and why would they considering they’ve lost three games of 18 this season. They took it in stride and spoke about getting back to what has made them successful this season.
The Hockey News: Returning to Winnipeg as Stanley Cup winner, Paul Maurice speaks fondly of great hockey town. I do wonder if they’ll say or do anything about his Stanley Cup championship during the hockey game. Even if they don’t I do wonder if fans will salute him especially when you consider what he said about Winnipeg on the heels of his team clinching the cup.

Panthers fans were chanting ‘overrated’ at the Jets during Florida’s 5-0 romp on Saturday, but Winnipeg will get another crack at the defending champs Tuesday night.
