Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Keeping you up-to-date with all the latest pro hockey news in Manitoba.

Note: The Jets were not at their best last night in Seattle looking downright sleepy in the 1st period before awakening in the middle frame. After surrendering a two goal lead they roared back to life in OT to take it 4-3 over the Kraken which means they are undefeated this season (7-0-0). And given how the other teams in the Central keep winning at they haven’t really built a significant lead on them. Today they are scheduled to practice in Calgary as they get set to conclude the three-game road trip tomorrow night against the Flames. Check back for the Practice Report.

Note II: The Moose have one final day of practice in Winnipeg before their home opener against the IceHogs on Saturday afternoon. They’ll skate at Canada Life Centre this morning.

Note III: First game as captain for Jets draft pick Kevin He (2024 4th) who scored two goals for his IceDogs this evening in a 4-3 win over fellow prospect Colby Barlow (2023 1st) and his Oshawa Generals. He had 8 shots in the game and is ranked 2nd in the OHL with 53. He is up to 11G 9A for 20 pts in 10GP which puts him tied for 3rd in OHL points race.
