Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Keeping you up-to-date with all the latest pro hockey news in Manitoba.

Day 10 interviews: It was an off day although Connor Hrabchak did take a look at some of the notable things from camp to date.

Note: The Jets are back on the ice today at 10:30 AM and are expected to cut down to one group with their second round of cuts.

Note II: That reduction in group size will help the Moose as they start training camp today with off ice testing. Here is their full schedule.

Jets news:

Sportsnet: Brayden Yager’s enthusiasm, attitude a breath of fresh air for Jets. I really think the Jets found themselves a player in the Saskatoon product from what I’ve seen the last few weeks. Now I still expect the Jets to send him back to Junior today but that’s not a condemnation of his ability but simply the reality of his situation.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets D-man Pionk still grieving loss of close friend Johnson. (Paywall). Really good chat between Ken and the Minnesotan.

Jets audio:

Illegal Curve Hockey: Saturday podcast. On yesterday’s show we discussed the injury news to Heinola and Stanley, the impact to the Jets depth on D, special teams, using Connor and Scheifele on the PK and signing Bryan Little to a one-day contract to retire as a Jet.
