Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Keeping you up-to-date with all the latest pro hockey news in Manitoba.

Note: It was a rather newsy Monday in Jetsland which began with a formal introduction of Scott Arniel as the new head coach of the Winnipeg Jets. We broke it down with time stamps for each question which also indicates if it was directed towards the new bench boss or GM Kevin Cheveldayoff. The biggest news to come out of this media availability was the Jets GM confirmed that his team has agreed to mutually part ways with assistant coach Brad Lauer. Once the formal proceedings concluded we heard from new coach Scott Arniel (here) and GM Kevin Cheveldayoff (here). These are both also broken down with timestamped questions.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: Relationships are everything for new Jets head coach Scott Arniel. Can people change? Can you evolve and adapt or are you forced to live your life under a label that may have been reflective of who you were but not of who you currently are? Sure sounded like a person who didn’t shy away from the mistakes of his past but was also someone committed to showing he has learned the lessons.
