Note: The Jets made some news on Monday with the announcement that Rick Bowness was retiring as head coach. He held a media availability with GM Kevin Cheveldayoff later in the afternoon and we also heard from captain Adam Lowry as well as hearing from his associate coach Scott Arniel.

Note II: There was some Moose news on Monday morning as Adler Mannheim of DEL announced they had signed Kristian Reichel to a three-year contract to play in Germany. Reichel was basically a home grown product as he spent the last six years in Winnipeg which included playing 15 games with the Jets. Also the team announced they had reassigned Oskari Salminen to Norfolk for the Kelly Cup Playoffs with the Admirals currently up 2-0 in their best of seven series with the Adirondack Thunder in the North Division Finals. Game 3 goes Wednesday in Norfolk.

Winnipeg Sun: Josh Morrissey shares emotional goodbye with Jets coach Bowness. Not a surprise that 44 spoke about his head coach even though he’s not in the city.
