Note: The Jets season ended on Tuesday night and today is the day they will spend reflecting on the 2023-24 season with us inside the Matt Frost Media Centre. We will be hearing from the players, head coach Rick Bowness as well as GM Kevin Cheveldayoff. Be sure to follow along here on this site and all media availabilities will be posted on our YouTube channel.

Note II: We concluded close to 20 end of season interviews with the Manitoba Moose over the course of three days which covered almost all of the players and head coach Mark Morrison (watch here). Expect those to be published over the course of the next few days to a week.

Winnipeg Sun: Assigning letters to every Jets player in the playoffs. Scott gives up his journalist pen for his school teacher’s marker so he can hand out player grades to all the players that were taking part in the post-season for the NHL club of Winnipeg.

Winnipeg Sun: Have your say on why the Jets crashed out in first round of the playoffs again. After watching this Jets team fall in five games the folks at the Sun want you to share your thoughts.

Winnipeg Sun: Hellebuyck’s last two playoff performances far from Vezina-like. While he is not solely responsible for the loss this series (despite what some folks may believe) he wasn’t nearly up to his normal standard (but again neither was the team). It’s all tied in together.

Winnipeg Sun: Jets can’t win a Cup the way they’re built. This club needs a top pairing right side defenceman to augment what Josh Morrissey brings on the left side.

Global News: Jets stayed on the ground while Avalanche elevated their playoff game. A big part of this series was just how good the Colorado Avalanche were which for some reason folks refuse to acknowledge instead focusing on the Jets effort. 

NHL.com: Jets eliminated from playoffs due to special teams, defensive issues. The penalty kill was abysmal for the most part and really played a pivotal role in both the losses in game four and five.

The Hockey News: Frauds? The Winnipeg Jets aren’t that bad — but they aren’t as good as they should be. Jacob shares his thoughts on this Jets club which went out earlier than expected.

Coming into the playoffs, the Jets had the best goals against in the NHL and the best goaltender in the league, and there w as every reason to believe they would go deep in the postseason. But it quickly came crashing down. TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button puts the heat on Winnipeg in this edition of The Smokehouse.

TSN: The Winnipeg Jets ran into a buzz saw. The Jets dropped four straight games after winning Game 1 of the series and allowed five goals or more in every single one of them. John Lu joins SC with Jay Onrait to break down a tough series from Winnipeg and where they go from here.
